Warmer weather is expected later in the week, with highs nearing 60 degrees by Wednesday. Showers will move in late tonight, with potential mixed precipitation, especially in the northern plateau and Smoky Mountains. While snow accumulation may occur in higher elevations, it is not expected to impact roads significantly. A chance of rain continues into the weekend, needed due to ongoing drought conditions.

Purdue Pharma to pay TN, other states $7.4 billion for role in opioid crisis
