Petal opens region play against No. 1 Brandon
SUMMARY: The Panthers face a tough challenge as they open region play against the top-ranked Brandon Bulldogs, who average nearly 43 points per game and boast a formidable defense. The Bulldogs’ speed limits big plays, forcing the Panthers to adopt a patient strategy, opting for methodical eight or nine-play drives instead of searching for quick scores. With over 1,100 rushing yards this season, the Panthers aim to capitalize on short gains while preparing for a physical matchup against a strong district. A recent game against Pickering has helped them gear up for the demanding competition ahead.
