SUMMARY: City leaders in Pedal have opened bids for their 2024 Paving Project, estimated to cost $1.5 to $1.7 million. Following last year's paving of over 9 miles of road, this year's project will cover slightly more, including over 40 roads. Major areas targeted are Carterville Road and Three Mile Cut-Off (Corinth Road), with Carterville Road requiring extensive work due to heavy traffic. Smaller roads like Beagle and Pig Drive, as well as Grape and Napoleon Street, will also be addressed. Reflective lighting will be added to Three Mile Cut-Off. The project is set to begin in August or September. Mayor Tony Ducker leads the initiative.
