SUMMARY: I’m a volunteer at the Tupelo Lee Humane Society, and I’d like to introduce you to Willow, my new friend. She’s a sweet and affectionate girl who was brought to the shelter with seven puppies, all of whom have been adopted. Willow is now spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on her shots. Although there’s typically an adoption fee, it’s currently waived until the 17th of the month. She truly deserves a loving home, and we all adore her. Thank you for supporting the TLY Humane Society, and we hope you have a wonderful weekend!

www.youtube.com – 16 WAPT News Jackson – 2025-04-04 20:33:20

SUMMARY: Mississippians are being targeted by a diamond ring scam, where unsolicited packages labeled from “Amazon Fulfillment” arrive containing fake rings and a QR code. Judge Tiffany Grove of Hinds County received one and, after researching it, discovered others had too. The included pamphlet claims the ring is certified by the “Gemological Research Academy”—a fake organization mimicking the legitimate GIA. Experts confirmed the ring is cubic zirconia, not a real diamond. Authorities warn scanning the QR code may lead to phishing sites. The Mississippi Attorney General’s office urges awareness, as mail scams are increasingly used to steal personal information or money.

Mary Kitchens expressed her excitement about the turnout and reflected on the nearly decade-long journey to realize this project, attributing its success to unwavering support and faith. A highlight of the camp is the “teaching kitchen,” where children can engage in hands-on baking experiences under guidance. This approach contrasts with typical restrictions, fostering a positive environment where kids are encouraged to participate and explore.
