$1.3 million dollar drug bust on I-40
SUMMARY: Two suspects, Diana Delgado and David Gutierrez, were arrested on Interstate 40 near Oklahoma City for allegedly trafficking nearly 50 pounds of cocaine, valued at about $1.3 million. This incident contributes to a total of 8 tons of drugs trafficked across Oklahoma in the past three and a half years. Law enforcement, noting multiple traffic violations, initiated the stop, where they discovered the drugs hidden in a suitcase. Despite Delgado’s denial, a canine unit confirmed the presence of the drugs. Both suspects admitted they were traveling from California, heading to another destination in Oklahoma.

What's behind the spike in car insurance rates
SUMMARY: Oklahoma drivers can expect another increase in car insurance premiums as rates have already risen over 20% this year, with projections for an additional 11% hike by year’s end. This could push average annual costs above $2,300. Factors contributing to these increases include rising inflation, increased accident rates, and severe weather events causing extensive damage. Oklahoma ranks among the top states for car accidents, particularly severe ones. As a free market state, drivers are encouraged to shop around for better rates, as there are numerous insurance providers available.
