Perry Co. GOP sheriff candidate speaks about fall campaign

SUMMARY: Perry County will soon have a new sheriff after incumbent Mitch Nobles was defeated in last night’s primary by Jacob Garner. Garner narrowly defeated Nobles by a little more than 100 votes. Currently serving with the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department, Garner will now face current Beaumont Police Chief Jeremy McSwain in the November general election. We spoke to Garner this afternoon about his campaign going forward.
