Pedestrian struck and killed in Grenada

SUMMARY: A pedestrian, 67-year-old Johnny Cannon of Glenwood, Alabama, died after being hit by a car on Interstate 55 in Grenada County, Mississippi. The accident occurred early Saturday morning on the northbound side, about 3 miles south of Grenada. According to Grenada County Coroner Douglas Yates, Cannon was walking along the interstate and entered the roadway when he was struck. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to trauma.

An Alabama man died after a vehicle struck him in Grenada.
