Pedestrian hit, killed near Shannon

SUMMARY: A pedestrian was struck and killed in Lee County last night around 9:30 PM on County Road 154 near Shannon. The victim was taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead, but their identity has not been disclosed. The driver remained at the scene and communicated with deputies. Preliminary tests indicated that the driver was not impaired.
