Veteran non-profit founder returns from Helene search & rescue mission
SUMMARY: Joint Task Force Canines, a local nonprofit, recently returned from a search and recovery mission in Western North Carolina following devastating floods from Hurricane Ida. Founder Keith Holland, accompanied by his service dog Quill, worked alongside other veterans to locate missing loved ones. Holland described the scene as worse than any war zone he had encountered, due to the overwhelming force of nature that complicated their efforts.
