Despite slightly cooler air from the north, it still feels hot. Rain chances are minimal today and tomorrow, but increase to 30% this weekend. Next week sees mid-90s temperatures with heat indexes over 100°F. A tropical wave may develop into a hurricane, though it's expected to head toward Mexico.

Kenneth Gainwell hosts 3rd annual camp

Pontotoc County 4-H holds beef show
SUMMARY: Despite the heat, local buckaroos are competing in the Pon Talk County 4-H Livestock Show. To keep everyone cool, extra fans, water faucets, and ice have been added. Baldwyn's Bike Day held to support the town
