SUMMARY: Amtrak has resumed passenger rail services along the Coast after nearly 20 years, with a groundbreaking ceremony held in Mobile, Alabama. This marks the first operation since Hurricane in 2005. Despite initial opposition, the Mobile Council unanimously approved for the service for the next three years. The new route will connect Mobile and New Orleans with in four Mississippi .
