SUMMARY: Oxford, Mississippi has been named one of the fastest-growing college towns in America, with its population growing by 102 percent between 2000 and 2023. The town, which is home to the main campus of Ole Miss and a satellite campus of Northwest Mississippi Community College, now has 27,531 residents compared to 13,637 in 2000. The study predicts that the population will continue to grow to 34,094 by 2030, a 24 percent increase. Bozeman, Montana topped the list, with its population growing by nearly 30,000 since 2000. Several other college towns in the South also made the top 10.
