Outdoor Adventures with Chelsea: Halloween safety
SUMMARY: Before heading out for Halloween trick-or-treating, it’s important to follow safety tips. Stay in well-lit areas, avoid entering strangers’ homes, and be cautious of traffic, as there will be more pedestrians around. Captain Roy from the Tupelo police emphasizes the importance of pre-planned routes for safety. After Halloween, instead of discarding pumpkins, consider leaving them outside for wildlife, as long as they’re free of paint or foreign substances. Wildlife biologist John Gry confirms that animals like raccoons enjoy pumpkins, but if they start to rot, they should be disposed of properly.
This week‘s Outdoor Adventures with Chelsea is about Halloween safety and what to do with those pumpkins after the holiday.
