One dead, another severely injured after a motorcycle accident in Hinds County

SUMMARY: A woman, Desiree Owens, died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 20 in Hines County, Mississippi, around noon on Wednesday. Her husband, William Owens, was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson when the motorcycle veered off the road and struck a cable barrier near mile marker 28. Desiree was pronounced dead at the scene, while William was transported to UMMC with unspecified injuries. The was reportedly from Redwood, Mississippi. The is investigating the incident.

Fulton Family Pharmacy recognizes National Drug Takeback Day

Attended by two and a DEA agent, the event aimed to educate the community on the importance of properly disposing of medications, rather than flushing them down the drain or toilet. One officer emphasized that prescription , often overlooked in discussions about drug abuse, can be just as dangerous as illegal narcotics. However, the event did not accept any needles. This initiative helps prevent medications from falling into the wrong hands.
