Oklahoma City landmarks to be featured in city edition of Monopoly
SUMMARY: Oklahoma City is set to receive its own edition of Monopoly, allowing residents to submit local landmarks, traditions, or inside jokes to be featured on the board. Notable spots like the Paycom Center, Scissortail Park, and Braum’s could become valuable assets in the game. Mayor David Holt is excited to bring attention to the city, moving away from the traditional Atlantic City theme. Zach Craig of Visit OKC sees this as an opportunity to attract visitors. Game makers are asking for submissions from the public to include favorite OKC staples on the game’s community chest cards.

OTA to resume Cleveland County turnpike plan after legal battle
SUMMARY: The Cleveland County Turnpike project is back on after being delayed for over a year due to legal challenges. The Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA), allowing work to resume. A new route for the southern extension is being considered, possibly between 48th and 72nd streets, aiming to redirect heavy traffic from Oklahoma City. The project faces resistance, with concerns that it could affect homeowners in the new route area. The OTA insists that protecting families is a priority, though critics argue the turnpike is unnecessary and could cause harm to local communities.
