Ole Miss stays put at No. 18 in AP poll amid hectic college football weekend
SUMMARY: Ole Miss remains at No. 18 in the AP poll with a 5-2 record after a bye week aimed at healing its banged-up roster. Despite a potent offense that averaged 55 points earlier, the Rebels have struggled, scoring just over 24 points in three SEC games. Their defense, ranked No. 1 in rushing defense nationally, has kept them competitive, allowing only 17 points per game in conference play. With two losses, Ole Miss’s chances for the College Football Playoff are slim, but they hope to turn things around against Oklahoma this Saturday. The Rebels are favored by 18.5 points.
