SUMMARY: Bobby Halford, a Mississippi baseball legend, will be the first NAIA Hall of Famer from William Carey. He began at the college as a dual-sport athlete in 1972 and has been part of the institution ever since, serving as an assistant baseball coach and the first women’s basketball head coach. Under his leadership, the Lady Crusaders won 152 games and a GCAC title, while his baseball teams achieved significant milestones including 18 conference championships and 15 national tournament appearances. Halford, the second-winningest college baseball coach in Mississippi, expresses gratitude for his accomplishments and support as he continues coaching into his 38th season.
