This program engages scientists, teachers, and students in using food to enhance STEM education. Recently, it won the White House’s Year of Open Science Recognition challenge, leading to an invitation for the winning teams to celebrate at the White House. The National Institutes of Health awarded Holin $11.35 million through the Science Education Partnership Award to develop a nutrition-based STEM education program called Learning Science.

After inquiring about them, Solomon engaged in a meaningful conversation about Williams’ life and passion. Nearly 19 years later, this book celebrates their connection and can be purchased at the museums.
