Officers rescue seven from rapidly rising creek

Initially enjoying a day at the creek, they were trapped by rising waters due to upstream rain. Lacking a precise location to share with 911, Jones was eventually located by Deputy Zack Wilbanks, who retrieved his boat with assistance from Officer Storm Moore. All seven were safely rescued, thanks to their swift actions. Jones, a nurse who had previously cared for Wilbanks after a 2020 , expressed gratitude and learned to always check the weather and wear jackets.

Former Amory basketball star recognized on a national level
