Ocean Springs PD investigating shooting outside police department as a result of custody dispute

Amid a custody exchange in front of the station on Bienville Boulevard, an argument led to gunfire. Two people were shot and transported to Ocean Springs Hospital, but a child caught in the middle was unharmed. Assistant Chief Steven Doyle emphasized the severity of the situation, noting it’s uncommon for such violence to occur during custody exchanges at the police station.
