Noxubee County is bringing more jobs to the community

Superior Catfish recently opened its expansion, creating 25 new jobs, while Huber Engineer Woods broke ground on a new facility that will employ 150 individuals. The expansions are already underway and expected to continue.

Sheriff: Teenager arrested in Lowndes County after gun found in vehicle
SUMMARY: A student at New Hope High School in LS County was arrested for bringing a gun on campus, according to Sheriff Eddie Hawkins. A parent alerted the school about her son’s involvement in a planned fight, mentioning another student intended to bring a gun. Following this tip, a principal checked the student’s vehicle and discovered the firearm inside. Big wreck shut down section of Corinth road for a very long time
SUMMARY: A section of Highway 72 in Corinth has reopened after several hours of closure due to an 18-wheeler that tipped over while making a turn. Chief Landon Tucker reported that the semi’s load shifted, causing the trailer to fall on its side and knock down a power pole and line. The truck was carrying metal and steel, which spilled onto the highway. Cleanup efforts took until 3:45 AM to complete, but fortunately, the driver was not injured in the incident. Traffic is now back to normal following the removal of the debris on Highway 72 and 45.
