Noxubee County honors 6-year-old for brave actions
SUMMARY: Bryana Cook, a 6-year-old girl, was recognized for her quick thinking and bravery after calling 911 when her mother suffered a medical emergency while driving. They ended up in a wooded area in Noxubee County. Bryana stayed on the phone with emergency services for over two hours, leading deputies to find her and her mother. After a search that seemed never-ending, they were finally located. The Noxubee County Sheriff’s office celebrated Bryana with an honorary “Shero Award” and a box full of new toys. Bryana’s mother is thankful for the emergency services and is proud to call her daughter her hero.
