Three men assaulted a resident, leading to a confrontation where one suspect was shot and later died at the hospital. A friend arrived, found the resident tied up, and after a struggle, the resident was able to shoot his way out. No charges have been filed, and police are searching for the two other suspects while reviewing video footage.

SUMMARY: Investigators at Moren Airport are probing the cause of a deadly crash involving a Cessna 172 and a Lancair 360 MK2 that occurred shortly after 8:30 AM. Pilot Robert Trailer, unaware the airport was closed, had intended to fly for breakfast. The Cessna, a training aircraft, collided with the much faster Lancair during its landing, causing the latter to burst into flames. While two people were on both planes, two from the Cessna escaped unharmed. The airport is classified as uncontrolled, relying on pilots to communicate positions without a control tower. Full investigation results may take up to 18 months.
