NOPD investigates four shootings during busy holiday weekend in New Orleans
SUMMARY: Police are investigating two shootings on Canal Street during a busy holiday weekend, both occurring blocks from a previous incident last week where four people were shot. The first shooting took place around 7:30 PM, injuring one person, while the second, occurring around 8:45 PM nearby, also left one person injured. Fortunately, all victims have survived. Witnesses reported hearing multiple shots and seeing people fleeing the scene. No suspects have been identified yet; however, the presence of crime cameras may assist investigations. Meanwhile, two men were killed in a separate shooting in West Lake Forest.

Four separate shootings occurred on Saturday leaving two dead and four injured in New Orleans, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
