Noah Noble previews the start of the Alan Moran trial
SUMMARY: A former Diamondhead city councilman is accused of sexually touching a teenage boy and will be in court tomorrow as his trial begins. Noah Noble is tracking this story and joins us from the newsroom to bring us up to speed. A year ago, Diamondhead’s Ward Two Councilman Alan Moran was arrested on touching a child for lustful purposes and three other related charges. According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s arrest report, Moran pulled out a sex toy and lubricant and told the teen to play with it, but the teen refused and reported the incident to his parents and friends. Moran is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow for his trial.

FIRST ALERT: Storm update, Alert Day coming Saturday (12/27/2024)
SUMMARY: Chief Meteorologist Eric Jaaw warns of severe weather in South Mississippi over the next 24 hours, following a stormy day marked by tornado sightings, including one north of Wiggins. There were reports of damage in Pyun and Northern Jackson County. The severe weather threat continues into tomorrow, with a large area under risk for strong storms, particularly in central and northern Mississippi, and parts of Louisiana. A significant storm system is expected to impact the region, especially between 2 PM and 2 AM. Residents are advised to stay weather-aware as conditions could be hazardous and include strong winds and heavy rain.

Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA launching diabetes prevention program in 2025
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA is launching a year-long Diabetes Prevention Program on January 30, 2025, aimed at pre-diabetics. DIGITAL DESK: Futurecast shows potentially threats for next couple days (12/27/24)
SUMMARY: Meteorologist Aaron Colby reports ongoing severe weather in South Mississippi, including strong storms and a tornado warning. A new weather system is developing, leading to a heightened threat for severe weather this weekend. Current temperatures remain in the 60s and 70s, with minimal change expected.
