News 25’s 25 Teams in 25 Days: Gautier Gators
SUMMARY: The Gautier Gators, led by All-American QB Kaden Irving, had their best season in program history in 2022. They fell just short of a South State title, but are determined to go further in 2023. Even after losing key players including Irving, the team is confident about their chances, supported by a mix of returning seniors and upcoming stars like Trey Irving, Kelvin Beavers, C.J. Nelson, Xzavier Hye, and Angel McGee. Coach Marc High stated that the team’s expectations are high after their impressive performance in the previous season. The Gators will kick off their 2023 season against Gulfport on August 25th.

SUMMARY: Easter Weekend on the Mississippi Gulf Coast offers various fun events. The Mississippi Aquarium hosts an Easter Egg hunt with special penguin eggs and a golden egg prize. He rushed over 900 yards during his final football season, leading the Bulldogs to their 16th playoff appearance. With a 5-1 record, 39 strikeouts, and a .384 batting average, he is confident heading into playoffs. Harper values his leadership role and aims to inspire younger athletes.
