New mayor elected in Aberdeen, police chief reelected
SUMMARY: In unofficial results from the Democratic primary, Dwight Stevens was elected as the new mayor of Abine, defeating incumbent Charles Scott. Quel Shumpert was reelected as police chief by defeating Christopher Dobbins. Ronda Mo advanced to a runoff for Ward 2 alderman, while incumbents Nicholas Holiday and John Kane won spots on the board along with newcomers James Ivory and Jeremy Bell. The primary decided all races as no Republicans or Independents qualified to run. The only race left to be decided is the Ward 2 alderman runoff on April 15th.
