SUMMARY: The Jackson Yards is a $30 million project focused on the Metro Booming Training Academy, a trade school offering various training programs including auto, diesel, construction, and food and beverage. The project is part of a larger revitalization effort in West Jackson led by businessman Richard Bradley. The area was previously an illegal dumping site, but has been cleaned up and revitalized. The next phase will include affordable housing, with plans for an entertainment and retail aspect in the future. The project is being supported by A3 Consulting and the Hinds County Economic Development Authority. Classes at the trade school begin in three weeks.

Jackson Democratic mayoral primary heads to runoff
