Mystery Aircraft Over New Jersey Might Not Be Drones
SUMMARY: Federal Security officials in New Jersey are investigating reports of aircraft causing concern, which may not be drones as previously thought. They suggest many reports could involve manned aircraft rather than unmanned drones. Witnesses and experts express skepticism, noting that these aircraft exhibit behaviors inconsistent with traditional planes, such as sudden direction changes and the ability to evade radar and police helicopters. Officials are facing pressure for answers, especially regarding potential threats, while military analysts caution against shooting them down in populated areas due to risks. Public speculation ranges from UFOs to foreign adversaries.
A large number of mysterious drones have been reported flying over parts of New Jersey in recent weeks, sparking speculation and concern over who sent them and why.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and law enforcement officials have stressed that the drones don’t appear to be a threat to public safety, but many state and municipal lawmakers have nonetheless called for stricter rules about who can fly the unmanned aircraft.
