MUW approved for full NCAA Division III membership
SUMMARY: The Mississippi University for Women (The W) has obtained full active membership status in the NCAA Division III and will be eligible to participate in NCAA championships starting from the 2023-24 academic year. This achievement follows the completion of a mandatory Year Three Report, which was cited as exemplary work by the NCAA III Membership Committee. The W’s acceptance also means that it will join the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) in the fall of 2023. The SLIAC commissioner expressed excitement about The W’s membership and praised the institution’s commitment.
