SUMMARY: Mississippi State’s Summer Scholars on Stage program offers high school students a unique opportunity to create and perform their own theatrical productions. Participants write scripts, produce music, and engage in all aspects of theater, culminating in live performances. The program goes beyond typical summer camps, fostering personal growth, confidence, and life skills. Kylin Ellis II, a sophomore, credits the camp for transforming him from an introvert to a confident performer. Paulina Roman, an incoming freshman, emphasizes the program’s supportive environment, where students are encouraged to realize their full potential. The performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at McCommas Hall, MSU.
