MSU’s Jurrangelo Cijntje taken 15th overall by Mariners in 2024 MLB Draft
SUMMARY: Mississippi State ambidextrous pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje was picked 15th overall by the Seattle Mariners in the MLB Draft. The Curacao native is a natural left-hander who learned to throw right-handed at 6 to imitate his father. His fastball tops 90 mph from both hands, and reaches nearly 100 mph right-handed. In two seasons at Starkville, he primarily pitched right-handed in his sophomore year, posting a 3.67 ERA and an 8-2 record as a starter in 2024, including a career-high 11 strikeouts in a win over Vanderbilt in April.

Ole Miss women get pair of double-doubles and roll to 83-65 March Madness win over Ball State
