MS man charged with capital murder after death of infant
SUMMARY: Matthew Brown, a Mississippi man, has been charged with capital murder in connection to the death of an infant in Lafayette County. Deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about an unresponsive infant boy on March 22 and attempted life-saving measures before the baby was taken to Baptist Hospital, where he later died. Brown was arrested on April 4 in connection to the infant’s death. The LCSO is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward or call 662-234-6421.
