Mother of hit-and-run victim reflects on the night of the incident

SUMMARY: Tashana Taylor, a 13-year-old girl, has been in the hospital since June 10th after being hit by a vehicle in Gulfport. She suffered a broken hip, a broken leg, and a traumatic brain injury. The police have charged 20-year-old David Harrell in the hit and run incident. Tashana’s mother, Savine Brown, has been by her side since the accident. Brown recently spoke about the incident and expressed gratitude to their community for spreading awareness, which led to Harrell’s arrest. Tashana has shown some progress by opening her eyes, but her recovery will be long. She is currently in a hospital in New Orleans.
