SUMMARY: Cloud cover will persist in Columbus, Mississippi for the next few days, even as a Gulf low weakens and moves east. Thursday will be dry but cloudy, with temperatures in the lower 70s. There may be some clearing overnight, leading to the possibility of patchy fog forming. Friday will see pockets of clouds, but there will be intervals of sun in the afternoon as the next front nears. The weekend will have plenty of sun on Saturday with temperatures in the 70s, but clouds will fill in late Saturday into Sunday, resulting in cooler temperatures in the 60s. Next week should bring back sunshine, but temperatures will remain below average for mid-October.
