SUMMARY: Good Monday morning! Rain is affecting most areas today, with heavier pockets in eastern Kentucky and lighter rain in the Blue Grass region. Rainfall has reached near an inch in some southern locations, while temperatures remain mild in the low to mid-50s. Winds are breezy with gusts over 20 mph. A cold front to the west is causing the rain, which is expected to increase in intensity later today and into the evening. Conditions should improve overnight, with a dry Tuesday ahead before another chance of heavy rain returns on Wednesday, followed by colder temperatures and possible snow flurries on Friday.

A wet, mild pattern is settling in across the Bluegrass on the heels of the latest snow maker. Keep an eye on the end of the week as temperatures tumble into freezing conditions again.
