SUMMARY: Good morning! Traffic is picking up as people head to work and school on this chilly Tuesday. Morning temperatures are around 48°F in Lexington and warmer compared to yesterday. Today‘s weather will be mostly sunny with temperatures rising into the upper 70s. A low-pressure system is approaching, bringing some clouds later and a slight chance of sprinkles tomorrow, but primarily dry conditions are expected. A cool down is anticipated for Thursday before warmer air returns Friday, with another possibility of isolated showers Friday night into Saturday as temperatures settle near the average in the upper 60s.

A bit of a temperature yo-yo is settling in to the Bluegrass this week. While extra warm temperatures dominate the air masses currently, later in the week there’s a brief cool down before jumping right back up and then down again!

SUMMARY: Over the weekend, police arrested several suspects for suspicious activity outside Southern Elementary School in Georgetown. Officers discovered two stolen guns and drugs in their possession. Though the suspects’ names have not been disclosed, they are facing multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and trafficking marijuana.

A pair of firearms and bags of marijuana were seized on elementary school grounds over the weekend by the Georgetown Police Department.
