When will CCID courts open?

House Bill 1020 granted Capitol Police jurisdiction over a significant area and instructed Chief Justice Michael Randolph to appoint judges for the cases brought by the Capitol Police. Justice Randolph stated he cannot appoint judges until a courtroom is available, expressing optimism for the future once a building is secured. The old Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home is designated to become the new courtroom and Capitol Police headquarters, while a temporary court setup is in progress.

Carly Gregg murder trial winding down
