Morning Forecast – Tuesday, Oct. 22nd
SUMMARY: Meteorologist Chase Ward reports clear, cool weather continuing today with minimal changes in the forecast. Temperatures will reach the mid-80s by afternoon, contrasting with the cooler morning temperatures in the 40s. Calm winds from the north are expected, and while conditions remain dry, a system to the north won’t impact the local area. Long-term forecasts indicate above-average temperatures through next week, with overnight lows in the 50s. Rain is desperately needed, but none is anticipated soon. Tropical Storm Oscar is monitored moving away from the Gulf States without threat. Stay warm and enjoy the sunny weather!
Dry, cool, and quiet this morning which is the same trend we have been dealing with and will continue through the long-term forecast. High pressure will continue to have a grip on the region. A weak front will try to move in by late Wednesday. However, there will not be any surge of cool air behind it. Temperatures will trend above average for the rest of the week and into next week as well along with staying dry.

Even warmer days ahead but fog could be an issued beginning Wednesday
SUMMARY: Tropical Storm Oscar is losing its tropical characteristics after churning over southeastern Cuba, now appearing more like a post-tropical system due to significant wind shear and merging with another system from the U.S. The Atlantic and Caribbean are currently quiet, with no new systems expected. Morning temperatures may drop to the low 40s, but highs will reach the low 80s later in the week. Fog is a concern for Wednesday morning, impacting visibility. While temperatures will warm up significantly, the next chance of rain is minimal, expected late next week with brief showers possible.
Meteorologist Devon Lucie starts off with a quick look at the latest on Oscar, its latest stats and track, then takes us home to our high resolution forecast showing you how chilly Tuesday morning will be, how warm it will be in the afternoon, how much warmer we’ll get from there, and what the fog situation will be for Wednesday morning and the rest of the days through the weekend, while ending with the seven day forecast showing when the warmest days will be, how warm, and when fog might cost us a few extra minutes on the morning drive.
