SUMMARY: Meteorologist Chase Ward reports on current weather conditions, tracking showers moving out of Texas and Oklahoma towards the I-30 Corridor. A cold front is expected to reach Arkansas tonight, bringing light showers primarily in South Arkansas this afternoon. Currently, the weather is warm and humid, with temperatures at 74°F. The front will result in cooler temperatures and increased rain chances, particularly tomorrow. There’s potential for a tropical cyclone in the Gulf of Mexico, which could lead to prolonged rain into the weekend. Temperatures are expected to drop to the lower 80s by Friday, with clearer conditions returning next week.

A cold front will approach from the northwest today sparking up some rain chances across south Arkansas. Clouds will also increase but not enough to keep us from reaching the 90’s again today. The front will move through tomorrow with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will finally cool down some and fall to the lower 80’s. A tropical disturbance looks to impact part of the gulf coast later this week which may prolong rain chances through the weekend.
