Missing Illinois man found alive in Adair Co.

SUMMARY: Thomas Burden, a 74-year-old man from Round Lake Beach, Illinois, was found in an Adair County field on December 29 after being reported missing. The search began when his abandoned vehicle was found on Pelston Cemetery Road in Breeding, Kentucky. Over a dozen agencies participated in the search, which was suspended twice due to dangerous weather. At 10:15 p.m., Campbellsville fire chief Chris Taylor located Burden using a thermal drone, about 1,300 feet from the vehicle, suffering from hypothermia. He was taken to T.J. Health Columbia and later to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment.
