Morgan Wallen plans return to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
SUMMARY: Country music star Morgan Wallen has announced that he will be returning to Ole Miss and bringing his voice with him. Ocean Springs man faces charges for shooting into crowd
SUMMARY: Henry Andray, a 68-year-old man from Ocean Springs, has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault for shooting into a crowd during a Fourth of July party. The incident occurred after dark when neighbors were setting off fireworks. According to Ocean Springs police, Andray fired a shotgun three times into the gathering, injuring four people. Fireworks fun continues through weekend
SUMMARY: Fireworks celebrations in Mississippi continue this weekend. In Lowndes County, New Hope Strong's “Peace, Love, and Freedom Celebration” begins Saturday at 4 p.m. at the New Hope Community Center, with fireworks at 9 p.m. Tishomingo hosts its annual street dance at Tishomingo Baptist Church's parking lot starting at 6:30 p.m., with fireworks at 10 p.m. Sherman Park in Sherman will also have a celebration on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., ending with fireworks. Ex-boyfriend killed after breaking into Petal woman’s home, police say
SUMMARY: In Petal, Mississippi, a man was killed after breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home on West 10th Avenue around 3:15 a.m. on Friday, July 5. According to Petal Police, a woman called stating her ex-boyfriend was aggressively banging on her door before forcing his way inside. Another adult male in the home shot the ex-boyfriend, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Petal Police Chief Matthew Hiatt confirmed that the deceased has not been identified, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
