SUMMARY: The Hattiesburg Christian Outreach organization hosted its 38th annual community Thanksgiving dinner, serving over 2,000 meals to those in need. The event, held at Christian Services, offered a traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans, and cupcakes. Volunteers, including co-founder Bill Prout, helped prepare and distribute meals to diners, at drive-thru locations, and through home deliveries. With more than 150 volunteers involved, the event provided a much-needed holiday meal for individuals facing homelessness or hardship. Despite challenges like the pandemic, the organization continued the tradition of giving back to the community.
