SUMMARY: Authorities in Oklahoma County seized over $1.3 million worth of cocaine during a traffic stop on I-40. A specialized task force trained to combat drug trafficking intercepted two cars traveling closely together, which raised suspicions. Upon stopping a vehicle with Texas tags, deputies noticed indicators of drug transport, despite the driver denying any drug involvement. A search revealed 47.5 pounds of cocaine concealed with cayenne pepper and dryer sheets, tactics used to mislead drug-sniffing dogs. Both drivers were arrested for aggravated trafficking and conspiracy. Authorities continue to investigate the source and intended destination of the drugs.

They also allege that Berry-Rock improperly handled their $30,700 nonrefundable deposit. After moving out, the house was listed for sale. The companies countersued, claiming the Taylors violated their agreement and sought to leverage complaints for financial gain. SUMMARY: Senate Republicans, led by Sen. James Lankford, introduced the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, aiming to prevent neglect of infants who survive abortions. The bill mandates that health care providers must give infants who survive abortions the same care as any other newborn and transport them to a hospital immediately. It also requires reporting of any failures to provide care and sets penalties, including fines or imprisonment. Additionally, the bill allows mothers to take civil action for damages. This bill follows a previous failed attempt in 2019 and differs from the 2002 law, which did not include penalties for care violations.
