How long could Taysom Hill be sidelined during rehab for season-ending injury?
SUMMARY: Taysom Hill is facing a torn ACL, which will likely end his season. The ACL is crucial for knee stability, and it typically cannot be repaired but is instead reconstructed using a graft from other areas of the knee. Rehabilitation involves strengthening core, hip, and quad muscles, alongside aggressive range-of-motion exercises. It will take about nine months for full recovery. Although Hill previously injured this knee in college, with a plate and screws already in place, athletes generally recover better than others. A second opinion on his injury is expected. Dr. Wendell Herd explains that post-recovery, athletes can return to high-level performance.
So what kind of rehab is New Orleans Saints star Taysom Hill facing with this injury and how long could he be sidelined? WWL Louisiana’s Meg Farris reports.
