More bird flu cases found in Louisiana
SUMMARY: A severe human case of bird flu has been reported in Louisiana, leading to the discovery of the H5N1 virus in backyard flocks after increased bird deaths were noted. Backyard flocks typically consist of small groups of domestic birds, often for personal use, such as chickens or companion birds like parrots. Health experts recommend measures to protect these birds, including keeping them away from wild birds, isolating sick birds, and thoroughly cleaning equipment. For the general public, the risk of contracting bird flu remains very low.
The first severe human case of bird flu was reported in the state. The Department of Health says they’ve found the virus in more birds in Louisiana backyards.

SUMMARY: The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), aimed at holding social media companies accountable for cyberbullying, has divided Republicans in Congress.
