More arrests made after gun store burglary in Grenada
SUMMARY: The Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced the arrest of three adults following a burglary at Back 40 Outdoors, a gun store. Four juveniles smashed a window a week ago, stealing multiple firearms before returning to take more. In total, 29 guns were stolen. Within 24 hours, the ATF recovered 14 of the stolen firearms and arrested three adults and five juveniles, aged 12 to 17. All suspects are facing state charges for commercial burglary.
Authorities announced more arrests in connection with the burglary of a gun store in Grenada.

Woman stabbed to death in Jackson
SUMMARY: Jackson police are investigating the stabbing death of Margaret Washington, found murdered in her home on Exchange Drive. Neighbors described her as a caring mother and a generous individual who always helped others. One neighbor remembered her as a “sweet woman” who never made enemies and was known for her fairness and kindness. The police have not yet identified any suspects and are seeking information from the community to aid in the investigation.

Woman charged in Copiah County murder
SUMMARY: A woman in Copiah County is in custody following a murder in Crystal Springs, where 27-year-old Camron Brown was shot in the chest on Saturday night at the Oakridge Apartments. He succumbed to his injuries at Copiah County Medical Center. The incident has led to additional charges against the suspected shooter as authorities continue to investigate.

Career fair in Pontotoc lets students talk about their options
SUMMARY: Students in Pak County had the opportunity to explore post-high school options during the College and Career Fair at Gateway Pavilion, part of the Pat Talk Ridge Center and Technology Centers. Juniors and seniors interacted with representatives from professional schools and the military, as well as over 50 business professionals and college leaders. The event emphasized the importance of exposing students to local opportunities, especially during their critical decision-making years. More than 600 students participated, gaining valuable insights into their futures and the various paths available to them in Ponop County and surrounding areas.
Students in Pontotoc County got the chance to learn more about what’s out there for them after they graduate high school.
