Monroe County native retires from his position as Colonel of MHP
SUMMARY: Monroe County native Randy Ginn retired as the highest-ranked officer for the Mississippi Highway Patrol after 36 years of service. He was named Colonel of MHP in June 2020, previously holding the rank of Lt. Colonel and serving as Chief of the uniformed division for four years. Ginn had also served as Captain for Troop G in Starkville and Northern Region Major. His retirement is effective December 31, with Mississippi Bureau of Investigations Director Charles Haynes taking over as Colonel of MHP on January 1.
