Monroe County man sentenced to 15 years for kidnapping
SUMMARY: Gregory Allan Coker, a Monroe County man, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and malicious mischief related to a 2022 incident. In August, police responded to a 911 call and found a woman needing medical attention after Coker allegedly held her against her will. He was arrested by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team after barricading himself in his home for several hours. In addition to kidnapping and malicious mischief, Coker faced charges of aggravated domestic violence. He will serve 15 years and has five years of probation upon release.
