SUMMARY: The Bar County District Attorney’s Office dismissed the capital murder case against DeAnthony Carter, one of two teenagers charged in the 2016 robbery and murder of San Antonio convenience store clerk Zachary Benavides. The other accused, Alanda Taylor, was sentenced to life after pleading a deal to testify against Carter. In unrelated news, a man threatened a downtown hospital invoking the Uvalde shooting and was arrested for terroristic threats.
